Daily Run

Time of Day: 6:20 AM

Weather: Overcast, humid, not too hot

Duration: 51 minutes

Notes: The morning after a July storm usually brings one of two scenarios: a) a drop in temperature and humidity that reenergizes morning runners who have been beaten down by the Texas heat for the past 2-3 months, or b) air that is almost visibly wet and drowns your lungs, all while causing every small insect within the tri-state area to stick to your sweaty and miserable body.

Today, while humid, resembled option a. I had a great run, felt fast, and really powered up the hills on the way home. I really only need one day off a week to make me miss running and look forward to the next one, and today was no exception. The sunrise was gorgeous and pink, I saw a stag, and I fantasized about racing again. A great start to the day, really. My knee tingled a bit, though I could tell that the uncomfortable sensation was stemming from the muscles around it. Not really sure what to do about it besides continue my TP therapy and hope for the best.
