Daily Run: Mother Nature’s Weather Makeover

August 13, 2008 at 8:24 pm | Posted in Daily Run | Leave a comment

Time of Day: 5:55 AM

Weather: Ok, did it finally rain last night? A beautiful, temperate morning. Lovely pink sunrise.

Duration: 51 min.

Estimated Distance (based on assumed pace of 7:35/mile): 6.73 miles

Notes: I think it must have rained last night, because today’s weather was 8679347 times better than yesterday’s humid nastiness. I had a good run this morning and had to hold myself back a little so that my legs could recover from yesterday. After all, this is only Day 2 of my running week and I need to save a little energy. Still, I didn’t let myself slack on those last few hills.

By 6:30 AM, there were already more cars on the roads than might be expected. I was so thankful to be up early and running; not going to work. Running is worth getting up for. Work is definitely not. I’ll try to remember how blessed I am when that alarm goes off at 5:20 each morning.
